The best way

to be eco is to utilize

We thank you for buying second-hand equipment... and every subsequent generation too.

Do you know how many natural resources
it takes to produce a new computer?

Water Usage

Producing one laptop consumes an average of 5,000–20,000 liters of water.
For comparison:
- An average European uses this amount of water in about 1 to 5 months.
- An average American uses it in just 2 to 8 weeks.

Factory Size

The area of a factory section dedicated to producing processors for new laptops is equivalent to 7 football fields or a small lake

Energy Consumption

Producing one laptop requires 190–350 kWh of electricity.
For comparison:
- A fridge uses approx. 350 kWh/year
- A washing machine uses around 290 kWh/year

Eco Summary

Producing new electronic devices has a significant environmental impact. By choosing refurbished or second-hand equipment, you help reduce the use of natural resources, CO2 emissions, and electronic waste. We thank you for making a conscious and eco-friendly choice.

Raw Material Extraction Issues

Laptop production is linked to resource exploitation, lack of legal regulations, and difficulties in refining and recycling. These problems occur mainly during the extraction and processing of raw materials.

Raw Materials Needed

Producing one laptop requires approx:
1,200 kg of raw metals (including heavy metal ores).
90 kg of other materials like plastic, paper, copper, magnesium, and lithium Some of these, such as silicon, are considered critical raw materials.

Carbon Footprint

Producing one laptop generates around 200–350 kg of CO2e, of which 75–85% comes from manufacturing components like motherboards, SSDs, and screens.

Emissions from Transport

Transporting one laptop generates approx. 30 kg of CO2, mainly due to the use of air freight.

Annual Water Usage

Laptop factories consume 80 million liters of water per year, equivalent to a small lake.
